Documentation that the owner/operator has current liability coverage and other insurance appropriate to the level of support. Amenities include on site laundry, air conditioning, parking, full kitchens, living/dining rooms and quick access to public transportation. Our staff is kind, thoughtful and approachable. Each guest can expect a clean bed, sufficient clothing storage, HDTV w/ cable and free wifi in every room inside a clean, well maintained home cared for by the guests who stay there! Our homes are smoke free but there are plenty of designated outdoor smoking areas.

Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing (MASH) serves as the primary agency for accountability of all certified homes in Massachusetts. Successful sober homes establish and reinforce healthy lifestyles, provide a safe and stable place to live, conduct meaningful activities, and build relationships and social networks for support. Through our network of certified sober housing and empirically based mash sober housing recovery principles, MASH’s goal is to help create and foster these safe living environments for those with substance use disorders. In 2011, the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR) established national standards for recovery residences (including sober housing). These standards were developed using a collaborative approach with input from regional and national recovery housing organizations.

Rise Again:
Residents participate in weekly in-house meetings, random urine screens, and 12-step or other group-format meetings according to the level of support each resident requires. Effective September 1, 2016, state agencies and their vendors shall only be able to refer clients to certified sober homes. Additionally, notice will be going to identified sober homes of this effective date. Any home not certified by September 1, 2016 will not be able to accept clients from state agencies or their vendors until certified. A sober living home is beneficial to an individual’s recovery. It is an alternative to going from an immersive care environment straight to a totally unstructured environment at home.
